Tifft Nature Preserve is a place I visit often, the wildlife is abundant, a concept alien to urban living. Downtown is visible just a mile down the highway along with some industry in our rustbelt city.Tifft is a major layover on the Atlantic Flyway and will soon be bursting with migratory birds, some rare to see in our neck of the woods. Canada Geese (pictured here) are here all year, or at least seem to be. The breeding season is coming into swing and the trumpeting geese are a symphony after the long gray winter.
