Wright's Falling Water

In a lush forest near the bottom of a small ravine, the Kaufman family commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to build a summer retreat. After some discussion, Mr. Wright persuaded Mr. Kaufman to break with convention and build the retreat over the waterfall rather than across from it(for the view). The result ... Falling Water...an American masterpiece of art and design. Anyone who has taken an art history course should be familiar with this iconic image. Radical, daring
and innovative it should be on your list of must see places. While photographs are a marvelous thing, seeing it up close and personal is a transcendent experience .
